Well remember you can’t spot reduce! Which means that doing certain exercises to work your obliques (the sides of your abs where you get love handles) won’t get rid of them. You can have awesome abs but you have to get the fat off of them with cardio! Running, HIIT, jump roping, swimming, etc. But some great exercises to work your obliques include:
Russian Twists (you can start off doing it without the medicine ball)

A great recommendation I would give though is to do some POP Pilates! I don’t know if you’ve heard of it but it’s quite amazing and Cassey’s workouts are so great. She makes it fun. The best part is, she has three separate videos targeting love handles specifically! :) So here you go:

I have 4 tests and 2 papers between now and next monday so I apologize in advance that I’m probably gonna be totally MIA :( BUT I promise to make it up come summer and relapse into my Tumblr addiction. You lost 7 pounds already?! That's awesome! And I saw your post about your 10 pushups, which is AMAZING! I'm around 144 lbs and I still can't do 10 very easily. Like I can, but I start shaking around 7 and the last one is very, very slow on the way up. Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you on the progress you've made so far. Great job! Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! This has seriously made my day :) I tend to get caught up in how far I have to go and it gets me so down. I forget how far I’ve come! I think I’m actually down to around 155 lbs now. Thanks for noticing though. It means so much to know someone’s actually reading :)
Oh. Dear. God.
I am NEVER working out in the morning before breakfast EVER again. I had read a lot of conflicting research about this. Some sources say it burns your fat stores directly since there’s no food in your system to use for energy. Some other sources said it just is more apt to break down muscle. Well, I decided to try it out to see if it worked for me. And lemme tell ya, NEVER AGAIN! I feel nauseous and have a headache :( And I could only finish 20 minutes of my 40 minute workout. Which really sucks because I actually really loved the workout! But I just can’t push myself when I feel so nauseous. I feel that since there’s so much conflicting research on this, each person should not read too much into it and do what feels best for them. But for this chick, NO more working out without something in my stomach, blehhh.
